Abstract

Vaccines, immune sera, and monoclonal antibodies represent pivotal tools in the prevention and treatment of infectious and non-infectious diseases. Vaccines, based on live-attenuated, inactivated, subunit, or mRNA platforms, stimulate active immunity by inducing a targeted and long-lasting immune response. They have significantly reduced the prevalence of life-threatening diseases such as polio, measles, and COVID-19.
