Abstract

Currently, cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the main problem of government, medical and public organizations in industrially developed countries due to the high incidence, disability and mortality among the population. Elevated BP levels, measured in or out of a healthcare setting, are directly and independently associated with the incidence of most CV events (hemorrhagic stroke, ischemic stroke, myocardial infarction, sudden death, heart failure, and peripheral arterial disease) and end-stage renal disease.
