Abstract
Reflux esophagitis (synonyms: gastroesophageal reflux disease, GERD) is a disease associated with a violation of the closure function of the lower esophageal sphincter (NPS) and the prolonged effect of stomach contents on the mucous membrane of the esophagus [1].
