Gastrointestinal tract (GIT) diseases rank among the leading pathologies of internal organs, exerting a significant impact on the general condition of the body and the quality of life of patients. In recent years, there has been growing interest in non-invasive methods of diagnosis and monitoring of such diseases, one of which is the study of the composition and properties of mixed saliva. Saliva reflects a number of physiological and pathological processes occurring in the body and can serve as an informative biological material for detecting changes associated with various GIT pathologies.
