Abstract

Although ultrasound is one of the most convenient methods in diagnosing diseases of the organs located in the neck area, its application in practice is not yet widespread. There are a number of important advantages of this method over other diagnostic methods, such as high accuracy and specificity, the ability to detect even small changes in the organs, non-invasiveness of the study, painlessness, no need to use drugs, ease and absence of ionizing radiation.
