Abstract

Endometriosis is a chronic and debilitating condition affecting millions of women worldwide. It is characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterine cavity, leading to pelvic pain, infertility, and dysmenorrhea. Despite its prevalence, the pathophysiology of endometriosis remains poorly understood, and treatment options are often limited. This review aims to provide an overview of the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and management of endometriosis.
