Abstract

The spleen is an amazing lymphoid organ that combines innate and adaptive immunity in a coordinated way, and helps to remove blood-borne microorganisms and old erythrocytes from the blood circulation. This article provides information on the morphofunctional characteristics of lymphoid cells of the spleen.
