Tetralogy of Fallot is a complex and one of the most common congenital heart defects, accounting for 8-13% of diagnosed cardiovascular diseases. It is the most common of the "blue" or cyanotic heart defects. Every year, 3-4 children are born with tetralogy of Fallot for every 10 thousand newborns.
