Abstract

Chronicheartfailure(CHF)isoneof the mostsignificantproblems of modernhealthcare, causinghighmorbidity, frequency of hospitalizationsandmortalityamong the adultpopulation.According to the WorldHealthOrganization(WHO)andrecentepidemiologicalstudies, the prevalence of CHFin the worldrangesfrom1to3%amongadultsandincreasesto10-15%amongpeopleover70years of age.Despitesignificantprogressintherapy, the prevalenceandmortalityinCHFremainconsistentlyhigh, whichindicatestheneed to improveearlydiagnosisandpreventionmethods.
