This article analyzes the clinical presentation, pathogenetic mechanisms, diagnostic methods, and complications of malignant tumors of the pancreatic head from both theoretical and practical medical perspectives. Tumors of the pancreatic head belong to the group of malignant neoplasms with a high mortality rate. The study focuses on the delayed diagnosis of tumors, postoperative complications (pancreatitis, biliary stricture, diabetes, infection), and recurrences as primary objects of analysis. Furthermore, the efficiency of modern diagnostic technologies (CT, MRI, endosonography, CA19-9 marker) and combined treatment approaches is discussed.
