Abstract

This study explores the physiology of the cardiovascular system, focusing on its structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms. The cardiovascular system is responsible for maintaining blood circulation, delivering oxygen and nutrients to tissues, and removing metabolic waste products. The heart functions as a muscular pump, while blood vessels serve as pathways for blood flow throughout the body. Key physiological processes such as cardiac cycle, blood pressure regulation, cardiac output, and vascular resistance are discussed. Understanding cardiovascular physiology is essential for recognizing pathological conditions and improving clinical practice.
