Abstract

Lavender (Lavandula officinalis L.) is valued as a medicinal and ornamental plant. Its essential oil, which contains linalool, linalyl acetate, camphor, flavonoids, and other biologically active substances, has a beneficial effect on human health. Lavender is known for its sedative, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, and antiseptic properties, and it is widely used in landscape design. This article explores the chemical composition, pharmacological properties, and ornamental value of lavender.
