Abstract:

The biliary tract plays a crucial role in digestion and the excretion of waste products through the liver and bile ducts. The anatomical and topographic characteristics of the biliary tract in newborns, children, and adolescents undergo significant changes as they grow and develop. These changes are essential for the functionality of the digestive system and play an important role in understanding congenital abnormalities, diagnosing diseases, and providing appropriate treatments. This paper discusses the anatomical and topographic features of the biliary tract at various stages of childhood development. Additionally, it examines clinical implications related to biliary tract malformations, biliary atresia, and other disorders, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and intervention. Through the discussion of these anatomical changes, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the biliary system's development and its clinical relevance in pediatric healthcare.
