Abstract

Despite its advantages, the clinical application of autologous bone for socket preservation presents certain limitations, including increased surgical complexity, limited availability, donor site morbidity, and accelerated resorption rates compared to some xenogeneic materials. These considerations necessitate refined surgical protocols, appropriate case selection, and occasionally, combination approaches with other biomaterials to optimize outcomes.
