Abstract

The article offers a comprehensive review and analysis of the clinical features of active and previous bleeding from varicose veins of the esophagus and stomach in patients with liver cirrhosis. The primary focus is on the evaluation of endoscopic hemostasis methods, as illustrated by studies conducted by Kadyrov R. and his colleagues between 2014 and 2020. It begins with an introduction to the problem and its relevance, followed by a review of studies emphasizing the efficacy of different endoscopic hemostasis methods like thermal, injection, and mechanical. The article synthesizes the data, discusses the potential limitations, and concludes with the implications of these findings, specifically in reducing the number of forced operations in patients with these conditions.
