Abstract

Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer's disease, affecting approximately 1-2% of the population over 60 years of age and characterized by progressive death of dopaminergic black substance neurons. According to epidemiological studies, the global prevalence of Parkinson's disease is about 10 million cases, with the number of patients projected to double by 2030 due to population aging.
