This study examines the developmental characteristics of preschool and school-age children with speech disorders and evaluates methods for enhancing and correcting their communicative abilities. Despite extensive research in speech pathology, there remains a knowledge gap regarding how developmental trajectories differ between these age groups and how individualized interventions can best address these differences. A mixed-methods approach was employed, integrating qualitative case studies with quantitative assessments to analyze the causes and effects of speech disorders. The investigation focused on both the psychological and pedagogical aspects of these disorders, assessing the effectiveness of various speech therapy techniques alongside specialized pedagogical technologies and structured therapeutic classes. Findings indicate that children in different developmental stages exhibit unique challenges and strengths in speech acquisition. Notably, tailored speech therapy programs that incorporate individualized strategies and special educational technologies significantly improve communicative competence. Quantitative results demonstrate marked progress in speech correction when interventions are applied consistently in both educational settings and family environments. The results imply that an individualized approach, supported by dedicated pedagogical methods, is crucial for effective remediation of speech disorders. This study provides important recommendations for integrating targeted speech therapy programs within schools and at home, thereby contributing to more effective educational practices and better developmental outcomes for children with speech disorders.
