Abstract

Uterine fibroids are the most common benign neoplasms in women of reproductive age, affecting approximately 70-80% of women by the age of 50. These tumors can cause a range of symptoms, including heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and infertility. Despite their prevalence, the pathophysiology of uterine fibroids is not fully understood, and treatment options are often limited. This review aims to provide an overview of the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and management of uterine fibroids.
