Abstract

This study presents experimental testing results of an improved bottom lint removal device for saw gins featuring comb-shaped air nozzles. Industrial trials conducted at Kattakurgan cotton cleaning enterprise using "Sulton" variety cotton demonstrated significant improvements in operational efficiency. The proposed device reduced average current consumption from 13A to 7.9A (39-42% reduction) and total power consumption from 6.8 kW to 4.11 kW (39.6% energy savings). Air consumption for lint removal decreased from 0.49 m³/s to 0.34 m³/s while maintaining fiber quality parameters comparable to standard DP-90 gin equipment.
