Diabetic neuropathy is one of the most common and disabling complications of diabetes mellitus, occurring in 50-90% of patients, depending on the duration of the disease and the degree of compensation of carbohydrate metabolism. According to the International Diabetes Federation, by 2045 the number of diabetic patients in the world will reach 700 million people, which makes the problem of diabetic complications one of the priorities of modern medicine.
