Migraine is one of the most common neurological diseases, which has a significant impact on the quality of life of patients and has significant socio-economic significance for society. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), migraine is among the twenty most disabling human diseases and ranks third among the causes of temporary disability in the world. Epidemiological studies show a pronounced gender predisposition to migraine: this disease occurs 2-3 times more frequently in women than in men, with the peak incidence occurring specifically during the reproductive period of life. According to international statistical data, the prevalence of migraine among women of fertile age is 15-18%, which is significantly higher than in other age groups and the male population.
