Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological diseases, occurring in 0.5-1% of the population, with approximately 40% of patients being women of reproductive age. Managing pregnant women with epilepsy is a complex clinical task that requires balancing between managing maternal epileptic seizures and minimizing the risks to the developing fetus.
